Easy Window Curtains

Well my dreary beige tab top curtains are gone. I bought 2 white twin size flat sheets at Anna's Linens for $3.99 each and a bag of 14 clips for $7.99. This is per window. For larger windows I would recommend full or queen flat sheets. It took a total time of about 30 minutes and no sewing! If you check out the clearance tables you can find some really good deals. And whats nice about using flat sheets is they come in so many patterns and colors. I fluffed the sheets in the dryer with a dryer sheet to make them smell good and get the wrinkles out. Then laying them out on the bed I folded the top of the sheet down 12 inches then clipped. My bedroom window is standard. However depending on your size the length is very forgiving and flexible. I have mine just an inch from the floor. I pretty much eyed the measurements and only measuring the ends. The clips were used 7 on one panel and 7 on the other. and viola! cheap and chic. The picture doesn't do it justice but I wanted to share my DIY pretty up the window weekend project. It really brightened up the room.
